You do not have to wait until things become unbearable. Sometimes one meeting is enough to see what is happening from a new perspective and understand where to go next.
If you feel that now is the time to make sense of what is happening, I will be glad to walk this path with you.
A reason to meet does not have to be a crisis. Sometimes it is simply important to understand yourself better.
Sometimes life itself asks us to find our footing again:
moving to a new place;
the birth of a child;
divorce;
a change of profession;
children growing up;
loss;
illness;
a new stage of life.
Change almost always brings uncertainty with it. Together, we can explore what is happening, see new possibilities and gradually find a way of living that feels right for you.
When life changes
You may find that:
you have stopped hearing each other;
there are more conflicts, and they seem to have become a familiar pattern;
someone is beside you, yet you increasingly feel alone;
you want to restore closeness and mutual understanding;
you want to preserve the relationship but do not know how.
Relationships rarely change in a single conversation. But they can begin to change when there is an opportunity to truly hear yourself and the other person. This, too, can be learned.
When your relationships change
You may find that you:
no longer understand what you want;
live “on autopilot”;
feel that everything seems fine, yet there is no joy and something inside feels empty;
have little energy or cannot see a reason to keep moving forward;
want to feel alive again.
At such moments, it can be especially important not to rush to find the “right” answer. Sometimes the first step is simply to stop, listen to yourself and gradually make sense of what is happening.
That is what we can do together in our sessions.
When you lose touch with yourself
It is not always easy to know when it is time to see a psychologist. Sometimes we keep hoping that we will manage on our own, even though we already feel that the ways we used to cope are no longer working.
